EXPO 41 Competition

 b.j. spoke gallery announces EXPO 41,  a juried competition for fine artists across the globe, now in its 41st year.  Open to all artistic styles and media.

JUROR:  Sewon Kang, is the Archivist at the Easton/Bourgeois Archive, in NYC.  Kang formerly worked as a Curatorial Assistant at the Museum of Modern Art,  NY.

AWARD:  Selected artists will have; 1-6 works included in a one month, online exhibition on bjspokegallery.org in March 2022, a virtual opening reception on ZOOM, promotion on all b.j. spoke gallery’s social media platforms and cash awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

DEADLINE:   November 22, 2021.

ACCEPTED MEDIA:   EXPO 41 is opened to all media and styles of fine art: watercolor, oils, acrylic, mixed media, printmaking, pastel, drawing, collage, sculpture, installation art, video (short), photography, digital art, fiber art, No crafts, please.

ELIGIBILITY:  Artists living in the United States and abroad.

ENTRY FEE:  $35 for up to 6 images and/or 2 videos; any or all of which could be selected for the online exhibition. You will be juried on your body of work.   If you’re submitting an Installation or sculptural work please consider using 2 or more of your 6 permitted images and/or a video, in order to give the juror an accurate visual. Please keep in mind 6 images are 6 images, not 6 entries.

EXHIBIT CALENDAR:  Selected works will be on shown on bjspokegallery.org from March 1-31, 2022. The opening reception will be held online via ZOOM on March 5, 2022 for artists, their guests and the public. Artists will be notified by December 20th, 2021.

LEGAL AGREEMENT:  Entering the EXPO 41 competition implies your consent for b.j. spoke gallery to use your name, artist statement and images of your work in all advertising and publicity for EXPO 41, including but not limited to: print, video, online, bjspokegallery.org and social media.

SIZE LIMITATIONS:  Because electronic images will be shown, there is no need for size constraints.

HOW TO ENTER:  Entries are submitted online through the Call for Entry (CaFE) website, www.callforentry.org. You must have an artist’s account on the CaFE to apply.
