I am a Long Island artist working in a realistic style. My favorite medium is watercolor but I also create in pastels, acrylic and oils. My main interest in painting is to capture people going about their everyday lives. I work from my own photos and then do a value sketch which incorporates the images into a composition. From this I create the finished painting.
I exhibit regularly through the art leagues I belong to on Long Island: The Suburban Art League, The Independent Art Society and the National League of American Pen Women, Long Island Branch. My work has won many awards in various juried competitions. I have a BFA degree from Moore College of Art in Philadelphia. I also studied portrait painting in oils with John Howard Sanden.
I am a caricature artist for hire at parties and events. My web site for this work is www.artistchrisgreene.com
